(b.1) To provide support and assistance in cultivating the growth of minority official languages communities in Canada. This is to ensure the preservation and development of these communities, thereby adding to Canada’s cultural richness.
(c) To foster the development of a robust and flourishing Canadian economy, wherein the advantages of immigration are distributed equitably across all regions of Canada. This objective emphasizes the role of immigration in economic growth and regional development.
(d) To ensure that families are reunited on Canadian soil. This emphasizes the humane aspect of immigration policy, acknowledging the importance of family ties and reunion.
(e) To encourage the successful assimilation of permanent residents into Canadian society. It recognizes that successful integration is a two-way process that involves both the newcomers’ effort to adapt to their new surroundings and the host society’s willingness to accommodate and welcome them.
(f) To promote the attainment of immigration goals set by the Canadian government in consultation with the provinces, by upholding consistent standards and ensuring prompt processing. (f.1) To uphold the integrity of the Canadian immigration system through the establishment of fair and efficient procedures. This aims to ensure that the immigration system remains transparent, credible, and functionally effective.
(g) To facilitate the entry of visitors, students, and temporary workers for a variety of purposes, such as trade, commerce, tourism, international understanding, and cultural, educational, and scientific pursuits. This provision highlights the value of international exchange and cooperation in various fields.
(h) To safeguard public health and safety and to maintain the security of Canadian society. This underlines the importance of ensuring that immigration does not compromise public health, safety, or security.

(j) To cooperate with the provinces to secure better recognition of the foreign credentials of permanent residents, thereby facilitating their faster integration into society.
